Hotell Lappland works actively to reduce its environmental impact and create a sustainable stay for our guests. As one of Norrland's largest spa, conference and entertainment hotels, we always strive to combine comfort and quality with consideration for nature.

Our commitments

• We meet the requirements as an environmentally conscious hotel within spa, conference and entertainment.

• All employees are informed about the hotel's environmental policy, goals and action plan.

• We have good control over chemical handling and mostly use environmentally-labeled or chemical-free cleaning products.

• All showers and taps are equipped with low-flush nozzles, and we quickly fix any leaks.

• We use an environmentally friendly refill system for soap and hygiene products.

• We avoid disposable and portioned packaging and prefer large packaging and returnable glass.

• When purchasing new machines or products, we choose energy-efficient and eco-labeled alternatives.

• LED and low-energy lamps are installed in line with renovation and maintenance.

• The hotel uses energy from geothermal energy and other sustainable energy sources.

• Waste sorting takes place at several stations throughout the hotel.

• We cook our food from scratch without unnecessary additives and bake our own bread as much as possible.

• We prioritize local and regional suppliers to reduce transportation emissions and promote locally produced raw materials.

• The laundry we work with is ISO certified, and we choose environmentally certified suppliers whenever possible.

• We hire local entrepreneurs and partners to strengthen local businesses.

• All rooms have adjustable thermostats for energy-efficient heating.

• Our ventilation systems are timer-controlled to reduce unnecessary energy consumption.

• We serve Fairtrade coffee in our restaurants.

• The fish we serve is greenlisted according to WWF guidelines.
